Nobody likes a bunch of rude and noisy birds.
When birds stray outside their natural environment and begin nesting or sitting for long periods of time in warehouses, stores, logistics storage, breweries, wineries, boat and airline hangers and transport depots they can become a real problem.
Nesting, or resting birds can:
- Cause damage to site infra structure
- Be harmful health wise to site personnel
- Be costly if regular clean-ups are required
- Be noisy
- Be odorous
- Generally create an unpleasant working environment
Traditional methods such as spikes, mirrors, lazers and ultra-sonic systems are often ineffective and only provide short term solutions for bird control but PuraAir Aust. has recognised that ozone can be used safely and effectively to deter birds permanently from areas where they are unwanted and we have developed an ideal ozone system to eradicate a bird problem long term.

PuraAir systems are relatively small, quiet and light weight; as such, they can easily be mounted high on a wall in areas where birds nest and congregate. Ozone can be dispersed into a localized area from the machine though a small tube and when birds come into contact with the ozone in the air, they experience slight discomfort, and they will quickly move away from the area. It must be stressed that ozone is a humane method of preventing birds from nesting and sheltering in undesirable places as there are no effects on a bird’s health once it has left the ozonated area.
Ozone is safely
and widely used
Ozone is safe for humans and other living organisms in this application and is used widely for sanitation already in hospitals, pools, garbage compactor rooms and in residential garbage chutes, to name a few applications. Ozone actually exists naturally in the environment and once it comes into contact with air and contaminants within the air, it neutralizes bacteria and viruses and breaks down to form oxygen. So whilst ozone can be used to control birds it also has the added benefit of sanitizing the surrounding area!
